Soul of the Soil I | Contemporary Watercolour

This traditional medium of watercolour on a nontraditional watercolour sub-straights gives these watercolours a contemporary feel. Watercolour doesn't necessarily come to mind when we think about contemporary art, Linnea challenges this perception. As Linnea works on a number of paintings at one time, this encourages her to work swiftly and directly, shifting between works, sometimes to linger and work intensely, and at other times moving rapidly. “My work is a response to the edges of landscape, the meeting of land and the vibrations within, where mass meets fluids, and earth holds movements” Revealing translucent layers with a soft dreamlike quality to the edges of the work. ·Finished with an archival protective layer- no framing behind glass required.
